In order to try to get Boomer to quit chewing on himself, he got a MASSIVE rawhide bone.

In order to keep Rusty from chewing on Boomer to get his bone, Rusty got a slightly less massive rawhide bone.

The picture is a little washed out, cause the room was too dark and I had to lighten the contrast some so you could see Rusty and not just the bone.

My happy place.

At the end of a long and exhausting day at work this is often the first place I go.  Not always with bubbles, but ALWAYS with a good book and a cup of coffee.

I stayed in about an hour tonight, rising out smell like green fruit (tropical passionfruit bubblebath, kiwi-lime shampoo, cucumber mellon body wash) and feeling a little better than when I got in there.

“How far along are you?” I ask.

“I’m on step 79 of 193,” he says.

My husband loves to build lego sets.  He has a lot of lego models, and many of them will probably be used as photos before the year is over.  :)

I took this one right before he quit building for the night.

Today we went to see “Marley and Me,” a movie about the “worst dog in the world.”  Though Marley was a yellow lab, and our Boomer is chocolate, we saw a lot of similarities between Marley and Boomer, though Boomer isn’t quite as bad as Marley (thank god for that!)

The movie left not a dry eye in the theater, and it made me (and apparantly my husband as well) want to go home and lavish some extra love on his silly mug.

A sewing machine a friend at work gave me today.

That sucker was HEAVY.

Now I need my MIL to give me some lessons, cause I have no idea how to use the darn thing.

new years meal

new years meal

My Mother in Law usually cooks a traditional good luck meal on New Years day.  Its usually black eyed peas, ham, greens etc.  This year she didn’t feel like cooking a big meal like that, so she decided to grill out.

We had hamburgers and hot dogs for our new years meal, with bbq potoato chips as a size and a desert of brownies and ice cream.
